Summer 2010:
We've got Wingers!!  If you saw them on our team riders last season then you know they're hot.  To read all about them, check out Mitt Specs.

Winter Season 2009-2010:
Congrats to Jo Jo and Theo, members of the Schweitzer's SARS Freeride team for becoming National Champs at the USASA Nationals comp.  We couldn't be more impressed.
Josh Moon just got his level 3 judging credentials through USASA this winter.  Watch for him at a few of the regional comps this year.
Batwaves is taking it's manufacturing in-house!  That means quicker turn around times for you on Batmitt orders and busy times for us as we make this exciting transition.   We've purchased some awesome new machines and we're getting geared up to do some serious production.
In other big news, we are prototyping a new mitt this winter.  Look for them on the hands of all our riders.  These mitts are flexible, lighter weight,  and more streamline in their profile compared to the original Batmitt.  This new model is called a "Winger" and we think you're going to love them.  Keep an eye out for more news here on the website and also on the slopes as our riders put them to the test.  We plan to have them ready for purchase next season if all goes well this winter.

Fall/Winter 2008:
"Children of Winter" premier, October
Batwaves sponsored the premier of Warren Miller's new movie "Children of Winter" for 5 sold out shows in Bend, Oregon.   The shows took place over the weekend of October 24th & 25th at the Tower Theater.  A big thank you to Angela Miller for getting Batwaves in last minute and for some awesome photos.  Check out our pic archive to see a photo of Gerry Lopez, legendary surfer and surfboard maker, who stopped by at the event.

Summer 2008:
King of the Kongcrete, August
This was Batwaves 2nd annual sponsorship of the skateboarding competition at the Concrete Lake at Travers Park in Sandpoint. Competition was intense and so was the heat.  Batwaves was hanging in the Bat tent watching a day full of impressive tricks and even bigger wipe outs.  Batwaves handed out the broken ankle award this year.

Festival at Sandpoint, August
Batwaves made an appearance in the cheap seats at the Festival at Sandpoint for Ziggy Marley this summer.  We fed a bunch of people hot dogs and Gatorade and made a park full of kids happy with some killer glow sticks.  The folks in the boats who pulled in close for the festival got quite a show as the kids lit up Memorial Field with their glowing, twirling lights.  Fun was had by all and we plan to make it an annual event.

We also want your Batmitt stories; you know the ones I'm talking about.  "I lost one of my mitts, but I kept the mate for the last 10 years hoping it would turn up," AND "those mitts are so burly, I pulled them over my feet one night while I was camping so I could go out and pee."  We will also be posting these stories on our site, so send us yours at support@batwaves.com.
Include your address and we'll send you a sticker for your efforts.
