Jeff Smith
.jpg) Jeff is our first Team Batwaves recruit! He is a professional triathlete with a focus on XTERRA distance (offroad triathlons). Jeff grew up in Sandpoint and is currently a personal trainer at Coldwater Creek. We will have a lot more information in the the coming days and weeks, so check back soon. Jeff will also be starting his own blog soon and you will be able to link to it from this page as soon as it is up & running. We are excited to have Jeff as part of our team!
Jeff was 2005-2008 USA Triathlon Team Member and received All American Status for 2006-2008. He has raced as an elite road and off road cyclist since 1999, and won the WIM championship race in 2003. He now competes in every triathlon distance as a professional but focuses mostly on XTERRA's (offroad) and Olympic and Half Ironman. In 2007 he was number one in the Northwest and second overall in the Nation for XTERRA. Of the 13 races he competed in 2007 Smith's never come in lower than second overall and has won every age category of 25-29 for both road and offroad triathlons. 2008 marks his first year as a professional triathlete, and has raced so far in one XTERRA, Olympic, and Half Ironman making him a very well rounded athlete who can compete with the best athletes in any distance.
