"I purchased my pair of Batwaves mitts back in 1996 and have put them through the ringer ever since. I taught snowboarding for a couple years at Silver mountain in Kellogg ID, before moving back to WI, where I taught for another 6 years here, the entire time I rode as much as possible on my own and my Batwaves mitts were with me every step of the way. Since that time I've added family and kids to the mix. We spend a good majority of time outside during the winter, and my mitts always kept me warm and dry, and it gets cold here in WI!. They were truly worth the money and to say that a pair of mitts could last over 10 years of abuse from an avid winter outdoorsman is almost unheard of these days. I would recommend these mitts to anybody and will continue to rock them as long as I can still get them and still stand on my board!"

"I don't want any free gloves, but I guarantee I will buy a pair.
I don't even remember when I started wearing my batwaves.  It was in the 90's at some point. For some reason or another I would always get my hands on/in another pair of gloves which would disintegrate quickly. Back to the batwaves.
I still wear my batwaves, although they are a bit worse for wear.  Especially since I had to weld in them one day for half an hour or so. Still they are my go to glove.
I was on Chair 2 with some gore-tex rep this year, and I ripped dakines gloves apart and showed him my ancient batwaves that were still keeping my hands dry and warm.
Stoked, that you guys are back!  Good luck with everything."

"Hey guys,
I thought I'd check out your website since I've heard good things, yet have never tried your mitts. The hardest part of snowboarding may be finding a solid pair of gloves/mittens. I can't make it through a season without a seam ripping, a palm wearing out or a leak developing.
A few days ago, someone posted a comment on our local snowboard forum, Snowboardseattle.com, about batmitts, and it sounds like everyone is down with you guys! Check it out here:

The Seattlesnowboard crowd is a tough one to crack. Everyone hates any company not owned by Mervin Manufacturing... But your gloves are getting a glowing review. Way to go!
Here's to another winter like last year!"

"Hey Josh,
My name is Tom, in 1991-1994 I was a rider for the Western Washington University Snowboard team. At which time Batwaves sponsored our team I got flowed several pairs of gloves as I was top rider on the team.
I have to tell you, in 25+ years of snowboarding, these are the best gloves I've ever used. I've felt a cold wet void on my hands ever since you guys dissappeared. Your gloves are so good I rode the pairs I picked up from the WWU team until 2002. Around then I lost the matching glove to my last pair, a Bat Waves Lobster claw. I hung it in my garage in hope that one day I would find the missing glove and once again rock the best gloves I've ever owned.  Ever pair I've owned since then is poor in comparison. I usually shred at least 2-3 pairs a year. I blame it on my knack for being a serious knuckledragger.
I just read the thread on snowboardseattle.com, and took this pic of my lone Lobster Claw:
