In his own words:
I was born in Sandpoint, Idaho. I grew up in here and graduated from Sandpoint High. I’m currently taking college courses online this semester. I started snowboarding when I was 6 years old. I’ve been riding for about 15 years and year round for 3 of them, so 18 seasons on snow. I spent the first 12 years of riding up in the Northwest, where I was competing at various amateur contests since I was 10 years old, so I’ve been competing now for 11 years. After doing well in the Northwest I took my snowboarding down to North Lake Tahoe where I spent the last few seasons. In North Lake I worked as a coach for the Northstar Snowboard Team, A ski/snowboard technician at Tahoe Daves in Kings Beach, CA, and I also worked for the Northstar Terrain Park Staff for a season. During the last few summers I have been Coaching for a snowboard camp called MHSSC (Mt. Hood Summer Ski and Snowboard Camp). I really enjoy Mt. Hood, the area is beautiful and the riding is amazing during the summer. The last few years of my life I have been competing professionally doing events such as the Vans Tahoe Cup, and Taking first place at the 2008 USASA Nationals Open Men. I’m a level 2 USASA certified coach, so when it comes to snowboarding, I love to do it, and teach it. I have been testing for Burton Snowboards for the past couple years, which is a pretty interesting gig that I really enjoy doing. I like to ride and compete in all aspects of the sport. Whether it’s a slopestyle, rail jam, boardercross, half-pipe, or any contest you can think about, I’ve done many of them and love all aspects. In my recent life I have also been strongly pursuing my skateboarding, and finding out how far I can take those abilities also. I have been skateboarding for almost as long as snowboarding, about 14 years. Other hobbies I enjoy include surfing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, fishing, and spending time with my family and friends.
